Deal-Ticker: Tally Weijl obtains a Covid-19 loan of CHF 25 million and new equity
The Basel based fashion chain Tally Weijl is secured. Tally Weijl, which specialises in fashion for young women, ran into financial difficulties during the corona lockdown and has now received the urgently needed Covid-19 loan of around CHF 25 million. As part of the restructuring measures, Tally Weijl has also succeeded in strengthening its equity by around CHF 27 million through various measures. Most of the new share capital issued as part of these measures was contributed by new investors. These measures have created the basis for the successful completion of the transformation of the group into a modern e-Tailer company with online expertise, which began in 2018 with a fundamental repositioning. Kellerhals Carrard has assisted Tally Weijl as legal advisor. The team was led by Emanuel Dettwiler (Partner, M&A/Corporate) and included Andrea Schmutz (Partner, Notary Public), Lukas Bopp (Partner, Insolvency and Restructuring), Philipp d'Hondt (Senior Associate, Notarial Services), Sophie Holdt (Senior Associate, M&A/Corporate) and Sarah Schneider (Associate, M&A/Corporate).
