International Women’s Day at KC: Meet Melanie Huber
In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, we are delighted to introduce you to an extraordinary woman from Kellerhals Carrard Basel
Meet: Melanie Huber Outstanding Achievement In 2009, following her law degree, Melanie completed her traineeship at Kellerhals Carrard (then known as “Kellerhals Anwälte”). In 2010, after passing her bar exam, she returned as an Associate. Alongside her work as a lawyer, she earned her doctorate and obtained the title of Specialist Lawyer in Labour Law. Since 2017, she has also served as the employer representative at the State Mediation Body for Discrimination Issues in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. In 2025, Melanie was promoted to Partner. We congratulate Melanie, thank her for her leadership in labour law, and wish her continued success in her role. Outside of her commitment at Kellerhals Carrard, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and partner, savouring good food, and loves travelling to far-off lands. We are proud to have accompanied Melanie on her journey from intern to partner, and we look forward to doing so for many more years. After a broad entry into the legal profession, Melanie discovered her passion for labour law—a passion she has pursued with great dedication and perseverance. She consistently stands by her clients as a trusted partner. In our firm, she is committed to nurturing the next generation of labour law specialists and is always eager to share her knowledge. Additionally, she consciously makes time for her family and her hobbies.
