Connecting China to Switzerland: The Rise of GDR Listings of Chinese Companies on SIX Swiss Exchange
We are happy to share our latest international newsletter with you all! This edition focuses on the China-Switzerland Stock Connect Program, which was launched on July 28, 2022. This groundbreaking initiative opens doors for Chinese companies to explore the Swiss stock market via SIX Swiss Exchange, and vice versa. Of particular note, Chinese firms listed on the Shanghai or Shenzhen Stock Exchanges can now introduce Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) on SIX Swiss Exchange. As of March 15, 2024, a total of 17 Chinese companies have taken advantage of this opportunity. Throughout this newsletter, we'll dive deep into the regulatory framework surrounding GDR listings and keep you updated with the latest developments.
