Meet: Rafaela Rodriguez

Great achievement

Rafaela Rodriguez joined the Lausanne Office as a trainee in 2018. Having passed her examinations with flying colours, and in view of the valuable work she did during her years as a trainee, she was taken on as an assistant to the newly formed COVID Loan team, which at that time was staffed by three persons. Since then, the team has expanded greatly and now employs some 15 persons, including lawyers, legal advisers and assistants. Rafaela quickly put in place procedures and systems to be followed to guarantee efficient, uniform treatment of the many cases. As time went on she carefully trained each new member to the team, thus ensuring the continuity of the processes and effective coordination. It is astonishing to say to oneself, that at the tender age of 24, she truly is a walking memory for this project and the safeguard that no detail gets omitted. Therefore, it is not surprising that Rafaela is now the Manager of the COVID Loan Office, thus continuing to rise through the ranks at Kellerhals Carrard. 

Alongside her work she is studying for a Bachelor's degree in Business Law at the University of Applied Sciences (HEG Arc). Combining work and study is not an easy task, yet she has succeeded in finding a balance. Moreover, she has no intention of stopping there, since she is already planning to continue her training with a Master's degree in Economic Crime Investigation. The close link between her studies and her work is certainly not pure coincidence! In the middle of all this she is not left with much free time, but she benefits from the little that she has, mainly in spending time with her family, and with her partner, or watching all kinds of series. This quite simply shows her loyal personality. 

Her commitment, her motivation and her regard for detail are daily sources of inspiration; her sense of responsibility and her determination are to be admired. Finally, her drive and enthusiasm are contagious.
