Dr. Florian Baumann

Florian Baumann is a founding partner of Kellerhals Carrard. Until his transition to Of Counsel status at the beginning of 2025, he served as Co-Head of the firm’s White Collar Crime practice. As an advisor and trial lawyer, he has extensive experience of white-collar crime, including international mutual legal assistance in criminal, administrative and civil matters, asset recovery, compliance, and internal investigations. He represents companies and individuals in criminal proceedings and related civil and debt enforcement proceedings, as well as in international mutual legal assistance matters.

Florian Baumann wrote his doctoral thesis on the criminal confiscation of illicitly obtained assets. Between 2003 and 2023, he lectured on confiscation and money laundering in the Master’s programme “Economic Crime Investigation” at the University of Lucerne. He has also published extensively in this field, including as co-author of the Basel Commentaries on criminal law, criminal procedure law and international mutual legal assistance, and in various other publications.
