Deal Ticker: Kellerhals Carrard with Visionaries Club on Seed Financing Round of PAVE Space

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁.

Today, satellites bound for higher-energy orbits spend six to twelve months slowly climbing via electric propulsion. @PAVE Space, a Swiss startup, is building the orbital logistics infrastructure that the new space economy is missing, a kick-stage vehicle that moves satellites from low Earth orbit (LEO) to their final destination in less than 24 hours, not months.

What makes this story compelling is who is building it. Co-founders @Julie Böhning and @Jérémy Marciacq have been building rockets together since their student years at @EPFL. With just CHF 250,000 in sponsorship funding, they designed and built Europe's first reusable rocket demonstrator, completing 53 test flights in 2024. That track record now underpins an in-orbit demonstration scheduled for October 2026.

The Swiss startup has now raised 𝗨𝗦𝗗 𝟰𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 in a seed round co-led by our client @Visionaries Club and @Creandum, with participation from @Lombard Odier Investment Managers, @Atlantic Labs, @Sistafund, @b2venture, and others.

@Kellerhals Carrard advised @Visionaries Club as co-lead investor on all legal aspects of this transaction. The Kellerhals Carrard team was comprised of:

1. Luana Stämpfli (Partner, Corporate/M&A)

2. Céline Schmid (Counsel, Employment)

3. Vera Vallone (Senior Associate, IP)

4. Marine Jorio (Associate, Corporate/M&A)

Congratulations to the team of PAVE, and to the teams at Visionaries Club and Creandum, along withall co-investors on this milestone.
