Rohat Kaya completed his Master’s degree (MLaw) at the University of Basel at the end of 2025 and joined Kellerhals Carrard on 1 August 2026, where he advises clients, in particular, in the areas of M&A, capital markets law, start-ups and tax.
Whilst still studying for his Master’s degree, he gained experience at a renowned boutique arbitration law firm, before working in the M&A department at Novartis, where he focused on sell-side transactions, particularly carve-outs and divestments.
Since 2019, he has also been the managing director of his family’s pizzeria and holds a restaurant licence. This combination of dispute resolution, transactional and entrepreneurial experience shapes his pragmatic, client-focused advisory approach.
