PubliBike joins VisionEdgeOne

PubliBike is now part of VisionEdgeOne (VE1). This change in ownership marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Swiss bike-sharing company.
Over the past years, PubliBike has grown into one of Switzerland’s largest bike-sharing networks in close collaboration with cities, municipalities, and partners. Today, more than 10,000 bicycles and e-bikes are available across around 120 cities and municipalities in ten cantons.
With VisionEdgeOne, PubliBike gains a long-term owner that shares its vision of sustainable, connected, and accessible mobility. Bike sharing will continue to be strengthened as an essential part of public transport.
In the coming years, investments are planned to further develop services, expand the fleet, and enhance the technology behind the platform. The bike-sharing network will also continue to grow, reaching even more cities and municipalities across Switzerland.
This new chapter lays the foundation for continued growth and the further development of modern, sustainable mobility in Switzerland.
We are pleased to have advised the shareholders of PubliBike in this acquisition with a team led by Michèle Remund and Thomas Bähler (both M&A/Corporate), Florence von Mutzenbecher (M&A/Corporate), Kathrin Enderli (M&A/Corporate).
