Deal Ticker: Kellerhals Carrard Advises Rhenopharma Group in Acquisition of Konapharma AG

Rhenopharma Group, a leading service provider in the pharmaceutical sector headquartered in Basel, acquired Konapharma AG, a contract manufacturer for the pharmaceutical industry in Pratteln. The combined Rhenopharma Group consisting of Allpack Group AG, Rhenochem AG and the newly acquired Konapharma AG will be able to offer its customers globally a complete, fully integrated end-to-end supply chain (supply chain as a service). Rhenopharma Group will have more than 300 employees and report a consolidated turnover of more than CHF 100 mio.

Kellerhals Carrard advised Rhenopharma Group in this acquisition. The team was led by Marc Hanslin and comprised Larissa Simeon, Aljoscha Zalad, Samuel Thüring and Jan Bläuer (all M&A) as well as Marco Sibold (Tax), Kevin MacCabe (Financing), Susanna Baumgartner (Regulatory), Livio Marelli (Real Estate), Stefanie Karlen (Anti-Trust), Bettina Achermann (Employment), Eliane Haas (IP) and Manuela Brenneis (Notary). Marco Balmelli is on the Board of Rhenopharma and will actively support Konapharma AG and Allpack Group AG by acting as chairman.
